Japan tips
- You'll use maps a lot for trains and walking, so offline maps save data.
- Pocket Wi-Fi rentals are common, but an eSIM is easier if your phone supports it.
Europe tips
- Multi-country Europe eSIMs cover many countries on one plan, so check that every country on your trip is included.
- If you're from the EU, your home plan may already include roaming.
Before you buy: make sure your phone is unlocked and supports eSIM.
